Hawk Woods offers endless opportunities for outdoor recreational activities.  This unique preserve offers a brand-new lodge, groomed nature trails, a heated restroom/shower facility open year-round, six overnight camping cabins, all complimented by 88 acres of beautiful woods, meadows, and marsh.

The City of Auburn Hills helps people of all ages connect with the natural environment around them through nature programs and outdoor education hosted at the Lodge.  The Community is invited to host their own family gatherings, corporate events, or receptions inside the Lodge with modern-rustic décor.

The Hawk Woods Lodge was constructed in 2020. It is 3,000 square feet and features a cathedral-style ceiling, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and expansive glass windows overlooking 88 acres of beautiful nature preserve.  A patio area offers an outdoor space and a scenic, natural setting. 


The Lodge is available to rent for special events such as:

Lodge Rental Rates:
Rentals must be made at least 2 weeks before event date
Resident:  $100/hour, 4-hour minimum
Non-resident:  $175/hour, 4-hour minimum
An additional 2 hours of set-up time is available for an additional fee
Security deposit:  $250
Group Retreat Package:
Auburn Hills Corporation/Resident: $1,000
Regular Rate: $1,300
